We are a small family owned kennel located in Sherwood Park, Alberta. The Rottweiler breed has been an essential part of our family for many years and our passion for these incredible dogs started long before we brought our first Rottweiler into our home. Over the years, our dedication to the breed has only grown, and it continues to drive our commitment to breeding Rottweilers that are healthy, well-tempered, and true to the breed’s standards.

Socialization Emphasis
At Von Schwarzl, we understand that a Rottweiler's temperament is deeply shaped by early experiences and proper socialization.From the moment our puppies are born, they are raised in a nurturing environment where they are exposed to a variety of sights, sounds, and experiences. We make sure our puppies are gently introduced to children, adults, other dogs, and different environments, helping them build the confidence they need to be well-adjusted, well-behaved companions. This early socialization helps foster the calm, confident demeanor that Rottweilers are known for and ensures they are comfortable in all kinds of situations, making them excellent pets and reliable working dogs. We aim to give each puppy the best possible foundation for a lifetime of success.
Health and Wellness
We take the health and well-being of our Rottweilers very seriously, and it’s a priority for us to breed only the healthiest dogs possible. Our breeding program incorporates a wide range of health testing to ensure that our dogs meet the highest standards for both physical and genetic health. This includes testing through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA), which covers key health concerns such as hip and elbow dysplasia, heart health, Juvenile Laryngeal Paralysis and Polyneuropathy (JLPP) and others. We believe in transparency, so all health testing results are available for prospective puppy buyers to review.
